Steamed Teriyaki Broccoli Steaks bring a bang of flavor to any meal. If you are looking for a compliment to stir-fry or as side dish, theses will provide an array of options. These broccoli steaks begin by steaming in a skillet and then finished off by searing with homemade teriyaki sauce. YUM! Super quick and easy to whip up, only 7 delicious ingredients of Fresh Broccoli, Rice Vinegar, Kikkoman Soy Sauce, Minced Garlic, Light Brown Sugar, White Sugar and Hungry Jack Maple Syrup.

My favorite way to east these Steamed Teriyaki Broccoli Steaks is to add on top of white sticky rice. Another delicious way to eat these are with butter and garlic.

-INGREDIENTS-
3 Heads of Broccoli
Teriyaki Sauce Ingredients:
1/8 Cup Rice Vinegar
3 Oz. Kikkoman Soy Sauce
1 tsp. Minced Garlic
1 Tbsp. Light Brown Sugar
2 Tbsp. White Sugar
1 Tbsp. Hungry Jack Maple Syrup
1/8 Cup Water
-INSTRUCTIONS-
-HOW TO MAKE STEAMED TERIYAKI BROCCOLI STEAKS-
Begin by whisking together all ingredients for teriyaki sauce in small mixing bowl, set aside.
Wash heads of broccoli, peel off excess from broccoli steam with a knife or potato peeler then cut broccoli lengthwise in half or in 1/3’s.
In a skillet, add about an 1/8 Cup of water and steam broccoli steaks for about 2 minutes on each side then add teriyaki sauce to skillet and steam broccoli with teriyaki sauce for another 2-3 minutes.
Serve as a side or on top of rice, enjoy!







-YOU SHOULD TRY THIS-
Try these over top of rice. I like to sprinkle sliced almonds or sunflower seeds on top of broccoli steaks. Try adding other veggies to this dish as will, mushrooms and onions just to name a few. You can also do this with cauliflower! As mentioned above you can vary in ways to flavor these broccoli steaks, by using butter and garlic or even try searing with Mae Ploy!
